Q

Hello everybody, I bought this kit and I can't find out how to assemble the LEDs, I know the long legs should go to the positive and the shorter leg to the negative but I don't know which way around to assemble them onto the PCB please help.

A

Positive (longer lead) goes to hole with square solder pad on PCB. Same for capacitors, pin sockets, and other polarised devices like diodes.... square pad = Pin 1 = Positive.

Debug Tips: I have to red LEDs on and nothing happening. Voltage measurement points? Does direction of primary wire matter?

Great fun! I'm a runner, but I had no idea whatembling it. Coolers must be getting better. The roll should be glued to the wall. The product protruding from the roll can also be glued to a variety of cut cardboard. I need one of the LEDs with a different color and the color I need with a different one. I didn't want the money, but it didn't matter. It's fun, I'm a beginner, but I had no trouble assembling it. The coolers must be fitted before soldering (I messed up, so the pictures show the clay glue). A thread sticking out of the roll can also be fixed by gluing it to a cut-out piece of cardboard. I replaced one of the LEDs with a different color, and the wire sent to a higher quality. I haven't tried the sound yet, but I'm sure it works.

Delivery a bit long but all the components are there. No food provided but for the price it's normal. Instructions in Chinese but very clear electrical diagram.

Nice little machine. A disadvantage for me as non-Chinese customer are the all Chinese instructions. To compensate for that, I wrote my own assembly instructions (in English). I tried to upload them but there is an error message about exceptions. If you want the .pdf to publish on the Banggood site, tell me.

Very pretty. Note: Please pay attention to the direction of the second file and keep it from the first L1 file. Because the circuit will not work hard and correctly if the L2 file direction is incorrect.

Works as stated. The blue spark is very tiny but the luminescent bulb lights up spectacularly. You can present it like a nice trick to the kids. I have added a thermo-silicone paste between the transistors and their heat sinks. And finally I put a small fan from an old video-card - no worry to burn out the transistors even at 25 V.

Product as description. Assembled diy kit and tested ok. Used only half of wire provided in the kit to make pimary coil, only 2 turns around the HV coil. Supply voltage around 18V to get a visible spark. Good product. Recommend.

Very nice item, take care that the primary winding L1 (i used 2 turns) is in the opposite direction of the secundary coil L2! experimenting with the numbers of turns of L1 and the voltage 12-24V gives different results…I have made 2 little video's, but cannot add them :(

be carefull with polarity of some elements. And leave shorty first coil if you want spark . I have to be abla get spark at 12v and 19v .

It only took me about 30 minutes to put together. Make sure you pay attention to the polarity of the capacitors and LEDs when you install them. Also, there are 2 different types of MOSFETs in the kit and the PCB will be labeled with where each one goes. The pictures in the BangGood listing are pretty misleading as there is no electricity shooting out of it once it’s built as shown in the picture. I tried it from 3 volts all the way to 24 volts and, while things do change at different voltages, there’s still no electrical light show like they make you believe. I also wanted to get this to help me practice soldering and, since this only has a few pieces in it, it is a pretty good kit to start with. I made a full video about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eMg0dcVrHg
