My courier delivered the package and said that I should immediately check the contents. Box was crushed and parts are missing. A great model ruined by postage service. Note in photos gaping holes in the packaging and different color tape after box was resealed during it's journey - that too has exploded from the trauma the box has suffered. So box marked fragile has been crushed not once but twice! X-uav has packed the kit well but they cant prevent the box from being crushed. A fragile sticker is clearly placed on the box near the documentation. It has been totally disregarded. Both main wings have damage on the inboard trailing edge which means the model wont ever fit together well. This has not photographed well crushed corners in white foam. Banggood please arrange new wings and a tail so that I may build the model I paid for. thanks BUT more importantly - the V tail pieces are missing from the box.

Looks awesome flies like a dream! Very easy to assemble and glue together. Using Towerpro 9g metal gear servos the Sunnysky 2216 1250kv motor with 40A ESC and 8x6 prop and 4S Multistar 5200mAh. Using ball linkages at the V-Tail Flight controller is a Matek F405OSD and 6S-HUB PDB with M6N GPS and Inav. CoG right on the spar. Thanks Banggood!

I bought the kit version, no electronics, no motor. You can find lots of videos about it on youtube, so about the flight caracteristics, there is not more to add to what you can find there. But I can tell about the quality of the kit. I bought it in the EU warehouse, it arrved reasonably fast (Germany, within one week) and currently (below 50,-EUR) it is excellent value for the price. I guess the hype is over and now the price is lower since a while now. However, the quality of the molded parts is good, in shape and also in density of the foam. The fuselage comes in two halves, so you can add/modify anything you want easily, before it comes together. But I can tell the fuselage is pretty big for a plane this size, so you hardly will have any problems mounting anything in it after it is glued together. The only thing that comes to my mind is if you want to mount a cam to that hole below the nose. Once it is glued together it´s not so easy to come by there - I mean you can easily reach in with your hand in there, but you can hardly see what you do. But...do you REALLY want mount it there? - I mean... crashes? Dirt? Scratches on the lens? Naaa, come on, the flighcam goes up to the platform next to the recording cam. If you want one. I gave less stars to the apperarance. I mean... look at it. It´s ugly. :-) But it is a well working platform for fpv.

Летаю на нем несколько месяцев. Неубиваемый, пережил кучу сваливаний на крыло и морковок. Реально помогает оклейка всего самолета обычным скотчем. Быстрый, эффективный. Хорошо планирует. Довольно стабильный - летаю без всяких стабилизаций и автопилотов. Садить сложно, но можно научиться запросто. Половина фанерных деталей поломались при крешах - заменил на пластиковые напечатанные на 3Д. Причина всех крешей - завал на левое крыло на взлете (torque roll). Вес - 1.8кг. Почти поборол его следующим образом: 1. Нужно хорошо швырять с разбегу. Ветер конечно очень помогает, но он есть не всегда. 2. Обязательно нужен костыль на хвосте. Тк фанерный у меня быстро сломался летал без него, но когда напечатал новый пластиковый самолет реально лучше стал взлетать. 3. Большой винт - плохо. Дает сильный реакционный момент. Нужен винт 8х6 или 8х8 и обороты по-больше. 4. На взлете с руки элероны не работают(tip stall) так что левый крен нужно парировать рулем направления. Руль высоты работает. Его надо жать от себя! пока самолет не наберет скорость и не начнут работать элероны. 5. Возможно нужен небольшой выкос двигателя вправо - это немного скомпенсирует torque roll.

Exeptional value for the money, top quality foam all bits fit perfectly , took about 30 mins to glue all bits together ... another 30 mins to fit servo's and set up ... wings secure with screws on underside ... not clear in instructions ... so are detachable, the battery bay is the only part that needs a bit of thought ... well it did for me ... as you just have to work out a way of securing battery in front ! used rctimer 2212/1000 kv motor i had lying around on 3000mah 4S .... loads of power .... gentle hand launch on half power and it was climbing away nicely, did maiden flight on less than half power ... after 10 min flight still had over 70% left so should get some decent flight times, Very happy with this for the money it cost, and it flys well ... landing no problem I found it slowed down nicely, light breeze helped ...

The X-UAV Mini Talon is a very popular model for some very good reasons. With its’ 1.3 meter wingspan it easily fits in most cars assembled and ready to fly, or can have the wings removed if necessary. Its big-brother, the X-UAV Talon, has a 1.7 meter wingspan. With the recommended power system it can easily fly for 20-25 minutes of moderately aggressive flying, or much longer if you are conservative on the throttle. With proper R/C & FPV equipment some modelers have done 30-50 km. round trips with this plane. The plane is a V-tail, so there is mixing required to have both rudder and elevator on the 2 surfaces. You either need an advanced radio or a flight controller for this. In my case I fly FPV, and use an Eagle Tree Vector flight controller/OSD. The plans are a bit lacking if you like written step-by-step instructions. This model however is not intended as a first-aircraft, most any experienced modeler should have no problems with assembly. The plans show ”Carbon Rod Fasteners” which are actually pre-installed in the wings, so don’t expect to see them in the parts bags. These fasteners have a set-screw to lock the wings to the CF tube, using the included allen wrench. 10C 4S battery packs are ideal for the power requirements. While you can convert the plane to use the typical 3S battery packs you may already have, I wouldn’t bother. Buy the light weight/low-C 4S batteries if you don’t have them. A good option is to get the LiHV (High voltage, 4.35 volts/cell, vs 4.2 volts/cell) packs, but these do require a specialized charger. First flight: Despite forum-posts of people having problems, this thing flew right out of my hand. Hold it at the CG, use about ~75% throttle, give it a smooth overhand toss, releasing with a little upwards pitch. My first flight was line-of-site, with all control-surfaces set flat. It flew perfectly. The following 4 flights were 100% FPV, from 20-25 minutes per flight, from 12-20 miles elapsed distance per flight staying within a 1 mile radius. The plane loops and rolls well, and flies inverted very nicely with elevator input. I highly recommend the X-UAV Mini Talon, especially for FPV flight. With its speed envelope it can quickly exceed line-of-site if you are not careful. Its’ reasonable size makes it easy to transport, and also allows it to have fairly long flight times. While not appropriate as a first model, it’s great for any experienced model pilot looking for something new and different. Put a Vector (or equivalent) in this and have a blast, buy 2 as the darn thing is under $50 from the USA warehouse. I purchased this and paid the extra few cents for EMS shipping (well worth it). The product arrived in a reasonable time and is of very nice quality. I will do a full review on my RCModelReviews YouTube channel and will be fitting a pulsejet to this particular one. That's sure to test out its strength and performance. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase
