Great cutters. Is there any way I can make the size of cut bigger than the max size?
I have the pruning shears for more than 7 months, I also did an in-depth review video. I tested, measured and thoroughly looked into the product. You cannot modify their max opening which is 43.5mm. The reason is the design of the prunning shears body which does not allow a wider opening. Hope my answer helped you.
Are the batteries compatible with Makita?
Yes, the included batteries are compatible and can be used to power any Makita device as well.

I ordered these gardening shears. They arrived in 3 days from the CZ warehouse. The shears look very high quality and their weight confirms that they are made of iron 🙂 I tested them today and they are fantastic. They cut branches up to 3cm like butter. The battery lasted for an hour without any problem and it still wasn't depleted. For me, top-quality shears for that price 😉

When the battery is inserted, nothing happens. It's normal. Press the small red button at the foot of the handle for 3 to 5 seconds long. One of the green LEDs lights up and we hear a beep that confirms that the pruning shears have been turned on. Now we do 2 to 4 consecutive quick pulls on the trigger and the device goes into action mode, confirmed by double beep and blade opening. We are now ready to work. A pull on the trigger closes the blade, and eventually cuts the branch, then when released, the blade opens again. 4 widths of the blade can be selected depending on the diameter of the branches to be cut. To do this one or several short press on the small red ON-OFF button near the LEDs. With each short press of this button the number of green LEDs lit changes, symbolizing one of the 4 degrees of opening to the next pressed--released on the trigger; 1 LED = mini, 4 LEDs = max. At the end of the work, to keep the blade closed, just keep the trigger pressed for about 6 seconds until the beep confirming that the blade will not open again when releasing. All that remains is to turn off by a long press on the red ON-OFF button. There, no beep but the last green LED dims. The battery can then be disassembled for recharging or storage.

I received this item within eight days. The packaging is not the best, so I photographed the package from start to finish, just in case something went wrong. The batteries, as shown in the photos, are low charged. After 2 hours and 30 minutes they got the full charge of 21 V. The blade opening does not show a pruner for cutting 5 cm branches. I tried it on thin branches up to about 2 cm, it worked satisfactorily. I will know the battery life after extended use. Thanks to the supplier

It is very good tool. I started to use few days ago and I'm happy with it. It is a little tricky to operate it and the included instructions manual doesn't help at all: 1. On the base of handle, above battery, it is an ON/OFF button. Press it and keep pushing for few seconds. You hear a beep sound. It is a kind of stand-by state. On the base will be lit a LED light 2. Push on operating trigger twice and all LED lights will lit 3. After few seconds of no operations, it will go back to stand-by, which is a good thing 4. to close, keep pressed the trigger button until it goes in stand-by and then press the ON/OFF button
