Nice ZigBee dongle. Used it to replace ConBee2 on HomeAssistant Zigbee2MQTT running in a HAOS VM config on Debian11 on an Intel Nuc7. Google YouTube “ Smart Home Junky” 4 details why. ZigBee operates in the same band as 2,4GHz WIFI so to increase range I replaced the standard included (poor performance) antenna with a better old WiFi router antenna.

Bought it as backup for the one with zigbee2mqtt already installed in Home Assistant. Worked like charm just by changing the path in configuration, but some devices need to be paired again, not by deleting them but activating permit join and put them in pairing state.

This new dongle is a great improvement over the previous generation of zigbee 2.0 dongles based on CC2531 chipset. Also the aluminum casing is a big step forward.

Perfect working zigbee 3.0 usb dongle. You should use that with a usb extension cable instead of sticking it directly on an RPI usb port: then the system will perform even better because of less interference.
