There is an adapter cable to MC4 connector. So if the solar panel has MC4 plugs, it can be connected directly. According to the manufacturer's instructions, 12 to 36 volts can be connected with a maximum of 5 A. That would be a maximum of 180 watts. You can't go wrong with a 150 watt panel, even a 200 watt panel works, because one panel never reaches the maximum stated power.

This is a fine product and tested it well. 1. At first I would like to dissipate 1 Watt -ohms- load and see if it is really seen on the display. 1a. For a voltage of 220V => place an resistor of 47K 1W or place 4 resistors of 180K 1/4W parallel. You will see on the display: 1 Watt. 2. Stress load: I put an electrical radiator -750 W- after approximately 3 quarters of an hour. The powerstation is out of order. 3. Very nice is you can load the powerstation by a solar installation. (I did it for a little while to see if it is loading by sun energy) 4. Loading powerstation by powersupply: If the display showed 3% or 7%. After 7 hours, the powerstation is loaded ( 99%). This is okay, when turning the powerstation 'on', the display will show '100%' . I like this product very much for my experiments 😊

The unit was shipped fast from EU warehouse. This is the smallest portable power station I have ever used. It is best for portability being light and small. It has 500Wh storage capacity and 500W output. It can also handle high power (1000W+) devices for short periods. It has true sin wave AC out and 100W PD USB Type-C for laptops and other devices. The built-in light is great for camping and other outdoor activities. The S500 can be charged by an included AC adaptor brick, by car's cigarette socket or by a solar panel.
