It real sharpen knives, for experience sharpeners maybe other products can be more efficeint._you have to be careful with curved blade knifes or you wont sharpen the tip.

This sharpener is best for most chefs knifes, and you can do most others. I went online to watch a few videos to learn some tips and see a few tricks first, before starting to use it. Over all a Great way to sharpen your non-serrated cutlery.
