I don't want to keep charging. Can I connect the USB cable and use it with continuous power?
If the microscope is powered off, when you connect the USB cable, the microscope will power on, and it will present a screen where you can select what mode to start operating in: (1) Mass Storage - this will allow access to the pictures and videos captured on the SD card; (2) PC Camera - this will see the microscope as a PC Camera that can be accesses via applications on the PC, I am using S-EYE, and the native Camera app on Windows 10, but there are many other applications that can be used; (3) REC_mode - that's the standard operating mode of the microscope, which will allow image and video capturing on the SD card. You can also choose to power off the microscope. I believe that in all 4 modes (1..3, + power-off) the battery will charge, but when the battery is full the charging process will stop by itself, so you don't really need to worry about it.

this is an excellent Buy, top notch rated, especially for doing very fine work on circuit boards, fine jewelry, getting at splinter in fingers, insects, and even looking at intricate patterns on coins, stamps and currency. it has a micro usb for charging, and can also, with some minor software tweaking, be showing the display, on a laptop or desktop computer, running Windows, MacOs or, Linux. it has an led illumination ring that can be fine tuned as can the magnification. and doesn't wash out the color of the item your viewing. Additionally, it has a memory card slot that can use MicroSD card slot that can use upto 128Gb memory card (which i would strongly reccomend, for making the best use out of this microscope). the 7 in. display and ability to angle the view lends itself handsomely, when viewing larger components or specimens. if there is any downside to this wonderful item it's that the included microUSB cable is a bit short, coming in at just 1m 3.3' feet. had this come with a 2m 6.6 foot cable. this would've been perfect. This drawback, can happily be bypassed, by using any standard 2m microUSB phone charging cable. 😊😁😎 The 120/240v plug it comes with, looks to be for, I think asian countries, that use the rounded plugs, but it comes with an adapter to fit it to standard us 2 blade 11/120v outlets. Overall, this is a great microscope to start with, unless you require much higher magnification, comparable to higher-end, microscopes. but for its price point. it can't be beat!! 😎👍

Arrived very quick - in 8 calendar days. I measured magnification and it is ~75x optical, ~1.5x digital, and totally you can get ~115x. It is represented as 1200x magnification, but this is total lies. I hate lies, so for this I can't give 5 star feedback, just 4. What is bad and should be fixed: charge socket is to close to the corpus of microscope and fits enough hard, probably it will break one day, photo mode resets to movie mode after you power off microscope, default should be photo mode. Actually existing magnification is really enough for soldering and quality is enough good and satisfied for this price. Pictures: 1. Measured screen length 150 mm 2. Photo taken with microscope (all other photos taken with smartphone camera) 3. Max height from object, min digital magnification (1X), visible 27 mm, so min magnification is ~5.5x 4. Max height from object, max digital magnification (4X), visible 16 mm, so actually you can calculate that it is magnified just ~1.5x from previous picture 5. Min height from object, min digital magnification (1X), visible 2 mm, so looking to picture 1 you can calculate that optical magnification is ~75x 6. Min height from object, max digital magnification (4X), visible ~1.3 mm, so total magnification is ~115x

exceeded my expectations, far better than I was expecting. Gives a great close up image great for small soldering or finding that tiny splinter you cant see. could even say it blew me away when I could see the pores of my skin!!!

I am very satisfied with this product. I will be using it for soldering and watch making and it is very good for that purpose. The price is also very good. It is very easy to get a clear picture. The stand is in aluminium and of very good quality. The unit itself feel quite plastic. The finishing on the case is not so good. It has bumps, pits and scuffs and it is not very precisely made. For example, it is quite hard to fit the USB connector to the unit because it is a very tight fit. . The screen however was in good condition and gives a good picture. The photos taken with the device are good. Do not expect too much however. I doubt that the 12MP resolution is optical resolution. It is probably interpolated. The attached pictures are taken with 2MP resolution. The video quality is ok too. The battery took three hours to charge the first time. I have not tested how long it lasts. Overall it is a very good product for the price. Highly recommended!

Nice product. Great growth rate. I really like the quality of the image. The screen is big. the bottom table could have been better. The plastic quality is a little mediocre. The magnification rate is stable. That's not an option if you want to lower the magnification rate. Up to 4x digital zoom available. It turns on automatically when i plug it in and take it off the charger. This seems to be a software problem. The charging port is too deep to use a thin-capped micro usb cable. Automatic shutdown option and Turkish language available. Would recommend.
