Why doesn't the manufacturer design these units to be spring loaded using a torsion spring at the anchoring point? Collars fitted over the tightening bolts and fitted inside of the frame (collar length would be marginally wider than the frame part) would allow fixing the unit securely in place without limiting the frame rotation. The height adjustment could then be modified slightly so that it functions only to limit the minimum distance to the table surface (ie: a travel stop). This would make the device self-adjusting for various stock thicknesses. Larger diameter wheels would also increase the useful range, though not a necessity if a functional travel stop was utilized.

The one way bearing roller works very well, better than I had expected. I like the arrows indicating the direction of flow. The quality is very good. But I thought the smaller nuts would fit my T track but they are much smaller. I should have measured my track. Not all T-track are the same.
