Q

I am going to ask the same question as question number 5 above; hopefully, your answer will be more informative than the one you gave to that question, as I believe that your response was awful.

In my opinion, it’s not worth elaborating, as others have already written everything on this topic. If someone is still considering buying these sleds, they should trust other buyers. From my side, I highly, highly recommend these sleds. Safety, repeatability, and versatility are their main advantages. Thank you for the quick shipment!

This is an amazing product. Well done Enjoywood and Dennis at Hooked on wood. I have intended to build a new router table, but in the mean time, I am using it on my old generic all in one machine. I have got to say this thing is near perfection. I have built three different diy router sleds and not only does this one replace all of them, it is much superior and safer than anything that I could build. The combinations of use are amazing. I have already used this on my table saw to make precise angled end cross cuts.

When I saw this coping sled was designed in cooperation with Dennis from Hooked on Wood, I was confident it would be an excellent tool so I ordered one. It is well thought out and very durable for years of regular use. The clamping system is excellent and extremely versatile. The miter bar and sacrificial base extension accessories enable an almost unlimited range of uses for this new sled. Great product!

I'd seen Denis's video on Hooked on wood and was interested to see if this was as good as it seemed. It's not cheap, but it does seem good value. It arrived double packed in two sturdy cardboard boxes, with all the components held in place with moulded foam. It probably could have been dropped from a moving truck and survived unscathed. the base is a hefty chunk of aluminium, beautifully made in that lovely red. all the edges are smooth and chamfered and the holes are nicely countersunk. the clamps are very sturdy and it has the feel of something much more expensive and feels very substantial in your hands. You'd certainly feel confident using it. It assembles very easily, but this is where I think they've just fallen short of the mark, but only by half a millimetre or two. Mine came with no instructions, which is unusual these days as most of my recent orders have had increasingly improved instruction booklets. However, that's not my real gripe, why, why, why do manufacturers always do this. Included is a a thin pies of ply to support the work piece, obviously this will need replacing and they have very helpfully etched the hole spacing on the base plate. they are 37.5mm from the edge and 108mm apart. Now you might have the vision of a hawk and a rule calibrated in 0.5mm, but I probably most people don't. How hard would it have been to place the holes 35mm from the edge and 110mm or 105mm apart? That's probably the only thing that lets it down.
