Other similar clamps only have the tightening handle at one end. The tail groove strips can be located in different positions along the wooden strip. Is it possible to use these clamps the same way with longer strips so that you can only turn the handle at one end?

Very happy with them and they work very well. _I use aluminium RHS instead of wood as its stiffer than wood and avoids issue of the clamps sticking to the panel. The design allows you to fit one of the racks in from the end, even if it is slightly more awkward. With the aluminium bars you can move the racks easily using the same holes. My clamps are setup to glue panels from 250-800mm wide _It is much easier to setup the clamps if there are simple U brackets to rest the bottom bars on whilst still allowing the handle to turn. The brackets should hold the bar close enough to the table so that clamp is held in underside rack.
