Yep. The protocol is the same, namely V*****ch, so all the transmitters are swappable. You will just lose any function that is not supported by the flight board and transmitter that you choose to use.
Why are the batteries shown 3.7 V the plane is described 7.4 V ?
I take it you are referring to the pictures showing the 2 and 3 battery option versions at the top left of the advertisement, since the rest of the sales blurb makes it clear that it uses a 2s battery? That is just the usual problem of letting the boss's bimbo office girl loose in the ad department again!

Nice addition to the 400mm warbird series with good brushless power! Miss Helen is looking great with the little pilot. Nearly noisless motor and 500mm wingspan helps in flying without gyro-mode. Bit tailheavy, needed about 1.5mm mechanical downtrimming the elevater. Now she flies on rails in manual mode with big loops, aileron rolls and inverted! Keep up speed in tight turns or she will stall...

As expected, another wonderful offering from the eachine/volantex family. Well built, brushless motor, larger airframe/wingspan than the 400mm models. The steerable tail wheel is a big upgrade as well, overall a great plane!

500mm should be the new standard for fun fly warbirds. The brushless motor and 7.4v power outclasses anything 400mm has to offer. The added size also provides better wind resistance. Only drawback is the wheels are super flimsy. I personally like to land and takeoff on wheels. With the size of this plane, I thought they would invest more in proper landing gear that would be a bit more durable. But regardless, a great plane for the beginner or the expert.

Magnificent. I have moved from the 400mm ones to this 500mm and despite being a small size difference, the flying performance is magnificent and the engine is unbeatable.
